Safe work habits are vital to your well being. The operation
of an ENG Vehicle with a telescoping mast can present
life threatening hazards if all due precautions are not taken
by the operator. It is the responsibility of the operator
of the vehicle to see that all appropriate safety practices
are observed and that any attempt to circumvent those practices
should be reported immediately. Unless otherwise directed,
the driver of the vehicle is designated as the operator of
the unit. With the estimated ENG units in operations today
over a year's time the mast on the ENG units will be raised
and lowered more than 3,000,000 times. Knowing these facts,
unless all precautions are taken, it is foreseeable that there
will be needless injury and loss of life.
LOOK UP and LIVE!
An Article from the Arizona Daily Star on 1-22-1989 mentioning
a warning device that power lines over 100 feet away. This
is SIGALARM on the US Border Patrol Vehicles, which we still
supply today. Over 11 years protecting telescoping
mast.

This
video is a great overview of ENG Power Line Safety. Every
TV
station should have a copy, and every person who works with
ENG Trucks
should be required to watch it.
The Video is narrated by Mark Bell, and he does
an excellent job of bringing ENG Truck Safety to the importance it greatly
deserves!

Power Line Proximity Warning System on a BAF ENG Vehicle,
installed with the new JB ChainWay. IT WORKS GREAT!
